At the heart of Africa Youth Climate Network is climate action towards mitigating the deadly effects of climate change. We are currently running tree planting projects and teaching the community on conservation practices to safeguard their natural vegetation and other resources. Our pioneer tree planting project is in Ukusijoni Sub-county, Adjumani District where we are working with groups to plant commercial tree varieties (eucalyptus, teak and pines) as well as agroforestry for improved nutrition and for income on their family farms.

The organization recognizes the importance of influencing decision-makers to prioritize sustainable practices and create effective frameworks for climate mitigation.
Africa Youth Climate Network is deeply committed to conducting research that informs evidence-based climate mitigation strategies. By collaborating with leading experts and institutions, the organization aims to deepen our understanding of the complex challenges posed by climate change and identify innovative solutions to address them effectively. This research serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, enabling them to make informed decisions that prioritize the well-being of the planet.
Education plays a crucial role in Africa Youth Climate Network’ approach to climate mitigation. By organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns, Africa Youth Climate Network strives to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and inspire sustainable practices among people from all walks of life.
